How do they make computer games?
Jiwon's father works at a computer games company.
Hojin wanted to talk to the artists at the company because he wants to be an artist.
Last week, Jiwon asked her Dad, "Can Hojin visit your company, please?
Mr. Lee said, "OK," so Hojin went there yesterday.
Later, Chris asked Hojin, "How do they make computer games?"
"Well, look at my pictures," Hojin said.
This is Jiwon's Dad.
He was writing a computer program for a game when I arrived.
I waited for a few minutes because he had to finish his work."
"Then we went to see the design team.
When I took this picture, they were talking about the story of a new game."
"After than, I talked to some artists.
They were drawing the characters of a game.
Some were drawing on paper. Others were drawing on computers.
They were so good!"
“This is a computer animation artist.
He was designing the movements of a character when I took this picture."
“Here, a computer engineer was writing a computer code.
Every game has a 'brain.'
Computer engineers make those 'brains.'
They need to write thousands of computer codes for each game."
"This man was matching music and sounds to the characters' actions."
"Finally, these people were testing a game.
They were looking for bugs, but they did not find any.
So the game was ready."
"It was very interesting," Hojin said.
"I want to be a computer animation artist now."
